So it's May, and second year is officially over. I've spent this semester working on all practical TV modules, and also completing a theory module called PR in Context.
Working on TV Drama & TV Magazine/Chat Show' modules, I've been an editor, a social media producer, a director and a producer. To round it all up - I've learnt a lot!
I've loved every second of these modules, and it's reminded me of how much I love TV and the excitement that goes with it.
I've also really enjoyed my theory module, which makes a change. I've passed my PR exam and also presented at the CIPR conference in front of several PR professionals. I was dreading this, but doing it really improved my confidence and pushed me out of my comfort zone.
During Easter, I spent a week doing work experience WPR Agency in Edgbaston. After finishing and going back to university, I was called by the B2C director asking if I would go back...and get paid! The team downstairs had been singing my praises and recommended me to the B2C team who needed some support. It's now the end of May and I'm still here, on my days off from university, and am going to be working part time for them over the summer. This is really exciting, and I am really proud of myself for making such a good impression there. Particularly as I was ill during my initial placement week, and really had to push myself to go. Hard work pays off!
My top 30 credits from second year go towards my final degree classification, and I'm pleased to say I'm taking forward two firsts! Another successful uni year!
